The vocabulary of forms, shapes, lines, texture, colours, tonal values, and light creates in my works a visual power, which in its manipulation manifestly translates to become a vehicle for emotional and personal expressions. In a sense autobiographical, as I pour forth my  feelings and emotions demonstrated through directional strokes which are horizontal, vertical, diagonal or in swirls.

 

Each stroke carries a meaning of my  life experiences. The dominant horizontal and vertical planar strokes are concerned with stability - emotional, economical and spiritual. The vertical largely denotes my ambitions, aspirations, desires and realization of my  artistic dreams, while the horizontal are meditative, quite, serene – qualities I  wish to be integral to my life as my guiding path; for in the silence between the spaces of my  strokes lurks a deep spiritual being who is attempting a deep connect with my soul.
